Funny Feeling Friday: Michael Kightly

 Funny Feeling Friday: Michael Kightly

No goals or assists in 4 straight gameweeks for Kightly

We are on quite the Funny Feeling Friday roll – we picked Steven Fletcher back in August – and he’s exploded for Sunderland, while Dimitar Berbatov also produced a massive score after his selection in the FFF column. Shane Long picked up an assist last weekend, so the streak continues…

Can Michael Kightly keep it going?

Kightly has not scored or assisted in the last 4 gameweeks, and he’s owned by only 2.4% of fantasy managers. That said, if you’ve seen Stoke in action, he’s been playing well in “Real life,” so sooner or later – those mazy attacking runs down the wings should turn into assists and/or goals…

Walters, Crouch, Adam, and Etherington are the “Big Names” in the Stoke side from an attacking perspective, but Kightly has one advantage over all four of them – his price.

At just 5.5m in the FPL game, Kightly is cheap.

With Swansea shipping goals [5 conceded in their last 2 matches], you have to think that Stoke can get their season kick-started at home.4 points from 5 games is not what Tony Pulis would have hoped for, so look for Kightly to provide the ammunition for the likes of Walters and/or Crouch this weekend.

There you have it. Michael Kightly – a classic, old fashioned winger with the pace to take his man on 1 v 1, looking for a goal or assist this weekend. He’s your Funny Feeling Friday.
