CAZORLA Santi Cazorla to Arsenal

The Malaga man and former Villarreal star is in London

Robin van Who?

Arsenal are reportedly putting the finishing touches on signing Spain international Santi Cazorla from Malaga.

The 27 year old has completed his medical and will join fellow summer recruits Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud for Arsenal’s pre-season friendlies in Germany next week.

Big news for Arsenal supporters.

Despite the news on the RVP front, it’s been a good summer for Wenger finding proven goalscorers and attacking players who could come in and hope to replace the Dutch superstar.

Cazorla will be a useful addition – with sublime technical ability and pace – he can play on either flank.

Arsenal will face Sunderland on August 18th - with or without Van Persie, but at least they’ll have a fresh new face in the prime of his career, the 27 year old Cazorla.

Arsenal once again buying on every position that is already covered. Wenger will now have to switch to 442, unless he wants to bench one of Podolski/Walcott/Cazorla, so basically we can expect Gunners to fall apart defensively.

    Chesney
    Sagna – Verm – Kos – Gibbs
    Walcott – Arteta – Song – Cazorla
    Giroud – Podolski

Lots of fantasy points upfront, Giroud by far the best potential, others might be very much prone to rotation if AW will play three central midfielders instead.

you are an actual idiot.. Cazorla can play in the middle of the park to you dope! and what.. signing one of Spains elite midfield is a bad thing is it when clearly Van Persie is staying?
and about your football manager expertise… don’t quit your day job.

Cazorla is 100% winger. His playing style makes him as suitable for playing in the middle as someone like Valencia or Adam Johnson.

And he’s a good player, just not world class (or spanish elite by any means, unless you are Arsenal supporter ofcourse). A good option for Arsenal, but would not make it even to bench at City. The total number of trophies in the Emirates trophy room will remain unchanged after this season – still zero after almost a decade :)
