Chelsea are top of the league with three wins from three games and Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres are firing and in form.
Our pre-season FPL favorites combined again in a 2-0 win earlier today at home against Newcastle. With Frank Lampard rested, Eden Hazard stepped up [with both Mata and Torres on the pitch] to fire home a first half penalty. Torres earned it.
Later, Hazard and Torres combined again – as Hazard’s backheel assist led to a powerful right footed finish by the former Liverpool man.
Have the two studs found their form at just the wrong time? Chelsea don’t have a fixture in the FPL Gameweek 3 so fantasy managers now face a tricky decision – drop one or both of these assets? Bench them and hope they come back after the international break in the same form? I, for one, would not recommend dropping Eden Hazard, that’s for sure. His price could well rise after his performance today, and despite the blank gameweek, Chelsea have QPR and Stoke up next…
What a talent. What a dilemma.
