Torres is the only player to score in two Euro finals

There you have it. The greatest team of all time: Spain 2008-2012 edition.

Euro 2008 Champions. World Cup 2010 Champions. Euro 2012 Champions.

And there was massive Premier League influence in the final – and it wasn’t Super Mario Balotelli. Instead, David Silva, Fernando Torres, and Juan Mata all scored for Spain in their 4-0 win.

Italy were a bit unlucky to lose Thiago Motta to a hamstring injury – forcing them to go down to 10 men for the final 30 minutes, and Iker Casillas made a few nice saves near the end of the first half and at the beginning of the second half.

Italy perhaps did not deserve to lose by a 4 goal margin but Spain certainly deserved their win. Congratulations to them.

Spain just had so much depth in their squad. Seeing them give Mata a few minutes and bringing on Torres and Pedro just made you realize the talent in the team.
