Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov faces life in limbo as no offers flood in to Old Trafford.
The 31 year old former Golden Boot winner would be an absolute stud on any number of Premier League teams – perhaps starting for 16/ 20 – anyone currently not playing Champions League football.
But will he stay in England? Berbatov – when fully fit, is a 20 goal a season striker, but has just fallen behind the pecking order of Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, and Javier Hernandez at Manchester United, despite winning the Golden Boot two seasons ago – sharing the honor with Carlos Tevez.
A move to Germany could be on the cards as the Bulgarian Berbatov played for Bayer Leverkusen between 2001 and 2006 scoring 69 goals in 154 games.
Should he stay in the Premier League? Move abroad? Wherever he lands, one thing is for certain – Dimitar is a class act with the football – technically he’s superb, and he knows how to finish – he would be an improvement up front for 99% of the clubs in Europe.
Good luck to him.
