From the BBC:
Steven Gerrard said earlier in September: “Since coming out of hospital my rehab has gone really well. I’m really happy and positive again. My groin is as strong as it’s ever been.”
“My groin is tested when I’m working and the physios collect data. My groin scores now are better than before I even started feeling my groin.”
I wonder what my “groin score” is?? Maybe Gerrard should feel his groin more often to avoid re-injury.
Regardless of his groin problems (which we’ve documented on a regular basis on this blog for years now), Steven Gerrard will be back in Liverpool’s team this month. What does that mean for Charlie Adam? Or Jordan Henderson? Two new signings who have started the season well. Only time will tell, though it’s certainly a situation worth monitoring for fantasy managers over the next few weeks.
I expect Gerrard to return to his role as a set-piece hogger (penalties and free kicks) which could slightly dampen Adam, Kuyt, and Suarez’s duties from set pieces and though he probably won’t feature this weekend at Tottenham, he could play in Gameweek 6 at home to Wolves.
