Fantasy Premier League Midweek Musings: Champions League

RVP Fantasy Premier League Midweek Musings: Champions League

  • Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw at Bundesliga champions Dortmund. Van Persie scored the goal and received a 9/10 from the Mirror Player Ratings. New signings Arteta and Benayoun were fairly anonymous. Walcott picked up an assist in an attacking lineup that included Gervinho. Expect a better performance this coming weekend at Blackburn from the Gunners than last week’s 1-0 tepid affair against Swansea.
  • In another England vs Germany matchup, Chelsea got the better of Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge 2-0. New signing Mata scored and Funny Feeling Friday hero Sturridge was full of energy and confidence as usual. Chelsea travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United this weekend in a Top 4 showdown…
  • Tottenham aren’t in the Champions League this season but Rafael Van der Vaart is apparently very annoyed at being left off the Europa League group stages roster. Good news for his fantasy owners however when VDV returns to fitness, as he won’t suffer from rotation or potential injury. [Guardian]
