Arsenal Injury Woes Continue: Vermaelen Out

Vermaelen is out injured

Jack Wilshere is out long term with an ankle problem. Gervinho and Alex Song are still suspended. Theo Walcott has a tight hamstring. And Thomas Vermaelen is now out for another few months. Perhaps Swansea will pull one over on the Gunners this coming weekend?

Arsenal’s big CB Vermaelen underwent surgery on an achilles injury yesterday and is set to face 6-8 weeks on the sidelines.

New signing Per Mertesacker (6.0M in the Fantasy Premier League Game) should see a string of starts in Vermaelen’s place.
