A friendly reminder to all Fantasy Premier League players to make all the necessary squad changes they need for free tonight and tomorrow morning before the Gameweek 2 deadline.
As we mentioned the other day in Butt’s Brain, the FPL issued an apology for Gameweek 1 login problems and issued an unprecedented across the board “wildcard” week – allowing managers unlimited transfers before tomorrow’s deadline.
While I do feel bad for those who could not log in to make last minute changes to their teams, I’m certainly not happy (personally) with the solution as it allows all of those managers in my mini-league a “re-do” after seeing preferred starting 11s in week one.
After months and months of summer research, I felt pretty confident in my team and when I saw some of my mini-league rivals investing in the likes of Rudd (Norwich’s backup goalkeeper! Doesn’t even start!) I thought to myself, “this is great, they’ll have to use hard earned transfers or take -4 deductions to get rid of some of those poor investments.” But nope, they don’t have to. They can get rid of all of those poor investments this week, at no cost!
Yup, I felt a bit aggrieved, but at the end of the season the cream will rise to the top – and it’s only fair that those who could not log in aren’t at a disadvantage.
So, there you have it. My mini-rant, but more importantly – a reminder to tinker with your teams. Go ahead – get in LAMPARD. Get in AGUERO. Take a chances on BAINES, SAHA, CAHILL OR ARTETA. Do your thing. And have fun.
Good luck to all managers this weekend.
