Funny Feeling Friday: Andy Johnson

Lots of FFF options to start the season. I was strongly considering going with Tom Cleverley or Anderson – as one or both should start at CM for Manchester United this weekend against West Brom and both are super cheap and available. Victor Moses of Wigan was another option, at 5.0M and enjoying a superb summer with N’Zogbia gone.

In the end, I went with Andy Johnson of Fulham. Johnson is owned by only 2% of fantasy managers and comes in at the bargain price of 5.5M. His strike partner Bobby Zamora is the more popular choice, at 7M and 6% owned.

Johnson seems to have found his fitness and form again this summer under new boss Martin Jol, and if given the opportunity to start against Aston Villa, could surprise and produce the goods – a goal or assist and 60+ minutes played at 5.5M would be a great return.

Sure, it’s going out on a limb, but that’s what the Funny Feeling Friday is all about. Good luck to all fantasy managers this weekend.

I’ll go with Moses, but Johnson is a great candidate!

    Good luck!

I have Johnson starting for me. I had a hard time between de Gea and Cleverley as my third United player (I have both Nani and Rooney). Went with de Gea. He’s got a better chance of starting that Clev.
