Manchester City’s Captain and last year’s Fantasy Premier League superstar Carlos Tevez is set to return to South America as his old club Corinthians have tabled a $56M U.S. bid for the striker.
The 27 year old Golden Boot winner would certainly be leaving England at a strange time – just as he has reached the pinnacle from an individual level (sharing Golden Boot with Berbatov) and just as the club he captains has qualified as a team for this year’s Champions League – finishing above Arsenal in the table last season and preparing for European football.
But Tevez continues to insist that despite living in Manchester for 4 years already, his family has not been able to adapt to the culture, and so it looks like the former Corinthians star will be returning to Brazil imminently.
Will City go out and spend big to replace Tevez? Or will the likes of Dzeko or Balotelli step up to fill the void? Let us know what you think in the comments or send us a tweet at http://www.twitter.com/nickybutt.

Tevez was always honest about his motives, it’s great that Brazilians can pay that much for him, but I’ll miss him in the Prem.
RVP would be a dream replacement, but it’s not going to happen. So Ibra will have to do I guess – he’s most likely to replace Tevez IMHO.
