USMNT and Fantasy Premier League Stud Dempsey Takes out Canada

Zlatan Ibrahimovic hit for a hat trick yesterday in Sweden’s 5-0 win but it was Fantasy Premier League stud Clint Dempsey who picked up all the plaudits in the United States as he led the U.S. to a 2-0 Gold Cup win over Canada.

Former Hull City player Jozy Altidore also delivered in his Gold Cup debut and the experienced U.S. side held on for the 2-0 win.

Other current or former Premier League players involved on the day for the red, white and blue included Landon Donovan and Tim Howard (both Everton), Jermaine Jones, Carlos Bocanegra, & Michael Bradley.
