Goal of the Summer: Giovani dos Santos Golazo

Sure we are three days late but this goal is worth the posting nonetheless. Is it the goal of the summer? Have you seen a better play?

It’s Tottenham’s youngster Gio dos Santos – the Mexican of Brazilian heritage who is now a hot transfer prospect after this superb finish in Mexico’s 4-2 Gold Cup Final win over the United State on Saturday night.

Dos Santos did very well. It was one hell of a chip shot over the defender at the post. But, for me, the astonishing thing was the goofy play of (normally solid) Tim Howard. WTF was that? He reminded me of Tottenham’s Gomes, during one of his more dorky moments.

Great goal. Dos Santos has always been my favorite young Mexican. Really wish he had have broken into Tottenham’s first team but I hope he does well in Spain (all the news im hearing as a Spurs fan is hes gone).

@Da Kril- I said that same thing about Howard after the goal. Reminded me of Gomes being a dope.
