This spot is reserved for a player who is unpopular (in fantasy footie ownership terms), under the radar, or just out of form. Frankly, we could have chosen Robbie Keane or Carlton Cole, but I went with Demba Ba because it is more fun to type Demba Ba, and even more fun to say…
Demba Ba costs only 4.9M in the Fantasy Premier League and is owned by only 1% of fantasy managers. He plays for the worst team in the league. That’s the bad news.
The good news? West Ham can take 9-of-9 or 7-of-9 from their final three games and stay up. They take on Blackburn, Wigan, and Sunderland.
Sure, Samir Nasri is out for Arsenal so Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott may be more explosive Funny Feeling Friday selections. Sure, there are other bargain priced strikers looking to make an impact this week (Odemwingie, Sturridge, Lovenkrands, etc.) but let’s stick with Ba.
He’s only scored 1 goal in his last 6 games – far from prolific, but I think West Ham need goals to win their final three matches – and at 4.9M he could free up funds for fantasy managers looking to make an expensive midfield acquisition this week – like David Silva or Rafael van der Vaart.
Good luck to all managers. There it is. Your FFF. Demba Ba.

Prediction: Adam Johnson putting up the biggest score this week – 2 goals, 1 assist, 4 bonus points. Owned by 2.9% of managers.
Are you sure he will get 4 bonus points against Spurs?
I’m trading in Nasri for Rafael van der Vaart and making RvdV a captain.
error…
How come Knight gets an OG and Muntari just an assist?
Typical that I go for a defender against Sunderland and they score their
first away goal for ages :p
Demba Bad! ahahaha!
