Carlos Tevez Won’t Win Golden Boot; Injured

There goes the Golden Boot, and for Manchester City, a potential worry as they look to preserve their 4th place Champions League status.

Tottenham fans around the world are celebrating the news today that Carlos Tevez, City’s best player this season and a candidate for the Premier League’s Golden Boot, could miss the next month of action.

Balotelli and Dzeko will now look to take over the striking / scoring duties. Will Manchester City regret sending Adebayor out on loan to Real Madrid?

Ironically, Dimitar Berbatov and his Nike Mercurial Miracle books will “back into” the Premier League’s Golden Boot this year as he sits on 21 despite losing his starting position in the league to Javier Hernandez. Tevez, on 19, could have easily caught Dimitar with six games remaining, but now looks like he’ll only feature in the last league game or two…

Meanwhile in La Liga, Messi and hisĀ Adidas F50 Adizero Prime Boots sits on 29 league goals while everyone’s most loved / hated man Cristiano Ronaldo sits on 28. Now that’s some star power…

Beautifully written! And what great goals, near and wide, all variation. That really does suck that Tevez is probably out because of his hamstring injury. Hopefully he will make it back in full recovery for at least a couple of the games. And loosing the chance to win the Golden Boot is huge too, what a horrible time to get injured. As for Rinaldo, I am personally a fan and I think he is a great player, clearly as he has scored 28 goals this league season so far. Thanks for the article!
