Robbie Keane to Save West Ham?

Keane.Robbie.Tottenham0001 Robbie Keane to Save West Ham?

Frederic Piquionne looked superb last weekend against Everton in a game West Ham should have won (leading 2-1, Piq was shown a second yellow for celebrating with the fans, and 10-man West Ham subsequently settled for a 2-2 draw).

Victor Obinna looked superb today – scoring a HAT TRICK – in West Ham’s FA Cup win.

Despite those performances, West Ham have not been consistent enough up front and have lacked a cutting edge all season. The likes of Noble and Parker have supplied the goods, but Cole, Obinna, and Piquionne have taken turns (for the most part) MISSING chances…

Perhaps Robbie Keane can solve that problem? The Tottenham man is moving to Upton Park in what are essentially the 14 most important games in West Ham history. 5 or 6 wins out of 14 and the Hammers stay up. 3 or 4 wins, and they go down.

The last time Keane went out on loan – to Celtic – he absolutely dominated. 17 goals in 19 games. An amazing return.

I don’t expect him to achieve those feats at West Ham, but with 14 league games left, if Keane can score 5-8 goals, West Ham have an amazing chance of beating the drop…

The Irish Captain is just 4.8M in the Fantasy Premier League – about the same as Piquionne, and cheaper than Obinna and Cole. West Ham have Blackpool – Birmingham – West Brom in their next three games, all winnable. 6 points from those 9 and Keane is an instant legend.
