Blackburn is Swine-Tastic!

pigs soccer Blackburn is Swine Tastic!
Handsy’s REAL fantasy team
All those David Dunn (5.6M) and Christopher Samba (4.9M) owners may not have been worried when their (clearly benched) players weren’t in the squad vs Chelsea this past weekend. But maybe there should be some worrying going forward. Latest reports out of Ewood Park are saying that the duo are suffering from “virus like symptoms” [read H1N1?].
From a fantasy perspective, this should mean a drop in value for both players. But with a trip to Old Trafford up for Rovers – little changes. Astute fantasy managers would bench these two anyway.
However, after the United game – Rovers face much easier opponents: Portsmouth (H), Bolton (A), Fulham (A), and Stoke (H).
So what do you think, loyal readers? Are the two highest scorers for Blacbkurn worth stashing on the bench? Would you even go further and invest in the likes of a Gael Givet, Morten Gamst Pederson, or Jason Roberts after the United game? Maybe you’ll continue staying away from Blackburn talent altogether. Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Blackburn looked like my Sunday afternoon Pub team on Saturday against Chelsea. No movement with or wirthout the ball and absolutely no fluidity.

Allardyce is a good enough manager who understands the league very well and can play some good defensive football at times – which I think will be easily enough to secure a 13th to 17th place finish – not out of the relegation battle – but not quite mid-table either…

I would find it hard to invest in many Blackburn players unless they start to really put a nice run together – but as you mention – they have a suber set of games coming up, so this could be the chance for them to shine. I'm not sold just yet.
